November 2011
“Jesse, I think, might be the most brilliant mind I’ve come across. There was this one scene in the film where there’s a live chicken, and obviously continuity with that is going to be difficult because he had to be facing one way all the time. Every time the chicken got uncomfortable and moved to the other side of his cage, Jesse somehow discovered this thing where he sat on the couch, right up close to the chicken’s caqe on the table, and he’s like, ‘Did you know that Vladimir Putin…’ He starts recounting these obscure, Russian historical diatribes to this chicken, and every single time, when he got to the Bolsheviks, the chicken stood up and turned away and went and laid back down, and it was like ‘OK, roll it!’ He has this really unbridled mind that he’s able to access.”

Andrew Garfield, Nylon Guys (Nov 2010)
Lmao it’s so funny how Andrew will gush this much over the fact that Jesse managed to get a chicken to do something, like, he’s looking for any excuse to call him a fucking genius. ‘He has this amazing ability where he can close and open both eyes at the same time it’s really brilliant it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen’ I mean shit Andrew next you’re going to compliment him on his excellent intake of Oxygen.
